London Essence wanted to increase awareness and sales for five of their SKUs on Morrisons.com: Grapefruit and Rosemary Tonic Water, Orange and Elderflower Tonic Water, Indian Tonic Water, Pomelo and Pink Pepper Tonic Water, and their Delicate London Ginger Ale.
Since this campaign was implemented during the festive period and involved a price promotion, two touchpoints
were used to make an enormous impact on the retailer’s online shoppers. Large Promotional Banners
were placed on key taxonomy and search term pages. Product Placement
was also used, influencing shoppers and making it easier for them to add the products to their baskets.
The supplier was pleased to see their products taking over their desired target pages. They were even happier to see that they received over 3.8m total impressions
and a total of 4,700 clicks.
The combined touchpoints positively impacted shopper behaviour, giving London Essence a 0.90 ROI
on this campaign. The campaign also generated increased trial and awareness of the products, which will have a positive impact on longer term sales.
